Great that you are interested in gliding! On our homepage, we will give you a first impression of our club. Click through the various sections and let us get you excited about this fantastic sport.

Please note that our club is not a commercial flight school. We are a sports club whose foundation and guiding principle is based on the concept of volunteerism. This keeps the costs manageable and affordable for students, apprentices, and university students.

As a result, all flight instructors, board members, and workshop leaders work on an unpaid basis. Every member is responsible for ensuring smooth flight operations, necessary repairs, maintenance, and much more. We are a community where every member personally contributes, not just a service provider.

With the active commitment of everyone, our club practically runs itself.

Find a new horizon!

If you join us without having a pilot’s license, our flight instructors will train you from scratch: fly instead of walking, and all for just less than €60 a month!

We do not offer predefined gliding courses with specific durations. Instead, everyone who wants to learn to fly with us is trained and supported at their own individual pace alongside normal flying operations. Aside from various flight camps throughout the year, the training takes place exclusively on weekends. As a result, training typically takes about 2 years to complete, depending on personal commitment and the associated learning progress.

Our members come from various countries, and we always welcome a broad exchange of different cultures in our club. Most members are also familiar with the English language, but the language of instruction in training is exclusively German. For safety reasons, it is therefore essential that you speak and understand German. Otherwise, training in our club is unfortunately not possible.

Of course, we are also happy to welcome anyone who already holds a glider pilot’s license and would like to fly with us! Are you looking for a new flying home? You can find it with us!
